AYA-SAN's Charming Cute Norwegian,
Import Denmark "
Jasna"
Jasna
has returned to Wisconsin to live up there to raise her last litter
of puppies and then she will be retired. Jasna has been such
a bundle of joy and so enjoys being around people especially kids.
I miss her so much but know she's being well cared for by
Katrina of Kiraleea JS. thanks Katrina!
It's official,
the surgery was
a success. Jasna had all natural matings
to Niko and 3 healthy pups were born! 2
males and 1 female... Thank
you Katrina ; ) Niko left for
Sweden on December 23 so we were very fortunate
to get to use him as he'll be with Carina in
Sweden for the next year! I
am keeping the female from this litter so we'll
see what we are blessed with from little miss
Anya. Puppies
were born February 21, 2010. October 24, 2009 Jasna made the journey to Wisconsin
to stay with Katrina of Kiraleea JS. She had her surgery there and then in
late December we mated her to Niko just before he left
for Sweden... Missed her
so much!!! Just
might have to make a trip up north to see my babies...
But I think the snow will be a treat for her and she'll
do well in Katrina's pack since Jasna makes 11 now.
Thanks to Katrina for doing
all this for me!!! Jasna is set to explore the
farm on a retractable lead to start, she's a quick
learner so I doubt she'll be on that long before she's free
to run around the 42 acre farm! She's going to
love it! I'm jealous that's for sure! Have
fun baby girl!
After
many attempts Jasna had her first litter on August 18, 2008. We
noted 4 puppies on this ultrasound that were doing well
and that's exactly how many she's delivered! Three
girls and one boy, they were big pups and have all gone
to their new homes. One girl remained with me,
Miley, one girl, Frida moved to Mexico where her
new owner hopes to get the breed recognized and begin
showing her, another girl, Belle stayed here in Texas
with a wonderful family and the one male Haruo flew
to New York! All the pups are doing great in their
new homes... can't wait to see their growing up photos!
Jasna was such a good mom too, she played with
the pups and did really well cleaning up after them
until it was time to starting potty training them...
She blew her coat just after we weaned the pups
and still hasn't begun to come into her new one so she's
looking a little bare at the moment! Too bad it's
not summer time, instead we're getting these cold fronts
moving through Texas and it's been a bit chilly... so
none of the dogs have been outside for too long, they
like the warmth of the indoors : )

Jasna
is definitely my alpha dog, though she is aware I'm
alpha whenever I'm home. She so funny to watch
when she's playing with Miley, I have to remind her
that she has to still be gentle, Miley is still a pup
(only 16 weeks now) and while it's her daughter she
mustn't play soo rough : ) Overall though
Jansa is such a sweet dog. She loves to run so
much so I'm seriously considering looking into agility
training for her... it would be good for both of us!
Toby and Jasna take
First Place for the UKC 2007 Top Ten Show Dog Competition
for the breed! They have been invited to the 2007
Top 10 dogs competition on June 12, 2008 in Michigan...
oh how I wish we could attend this one too!
JASNA EARNS HER UKC CHAMPION TITLE
February 25, 2007!! She is the first Japanese
Spitz to earn the title!
Jasna
arrived in Texas on May 10, 2006 after a very long flight
from Denmark to Houston, Texas. Donna drove from
New Braunfels to Houston to pick her up, only 3 hours
away, not too shabby! She was so precious from
day one! Jasna has a very wonderful temperament.
She is very loving and affectionate. Upon
her arrival Jordan, my eldest daughter claimed Jasna
as her dog. Jasna is so much fun! She loves
to cuddle up close to you and is really very affectionate.
She enjoys being close and is really a very mellow
puppy. Jasna really is a joy to have, very calm
and trusting of everyone. She makes friends with
everyone, though she wants to be the alpha dog, she
is learning that it's me who's alpha and that seems
to be going over well : )

Jasna's
first show was at the International Dog Show July 1-2
in Hutto, Texas. She did well. The judges
liked her but truly didn't know the breed as they continued
to look at the standard before each show. She
received good marks and gained some valuable experience
in the show ring. Jordan was able to show here
at this show both in the main ring to assist me as we
showed both Jasna and Mia in puppy class as well as
Jordan showed Jasna for the Junior Showman. They
did great and Jordan earned high marks at her showing!
In October 2006 Jasna joined me and Warry at the
Windy City Classic in Chicago, IL. Jasna won many
hearts ! She is a love bug and very friendly to
everyone! She tolerated all the other boys, she
and Mishka were the only females at the show and she
did awesome, took 3 of the 4 shows for Winners Bitch
and for Best of Opposite for the breed. It was
so much fun!

Jasna is my character
to say the least. She has yet to fully learn her
name, she comes to "dogs" as I call them inside
and send them outside, so I've been working extra hard
with her to remind her she has a name ; ) She
is a beauty and I truly love having her as part of my
family. I can't wait til January when I can start
showing her again! She is a spitting image of
her mama - Candy of Jasam's Kennel in Norway.
I feel very fortunate that Hanne trusted
me to have such a wonderful show dog!!!

Jasna's
show career is going well. She has earned her
championship title of UKC Champion now and will continue
to compete towards becoming a Grand Champion once we've
championed a few other JS's to give her some competition.
I'm very proud of her and her accomplishments.
With Toby now in the picture she has some serious
competition to contend with. Warry puts up a pretty
good fight too but Toby is going to be the one to beat
now! She is showing some great potential to put
up that fight too! I look forward to when Toby
is 6 months and they do begin to compete against one
another. Jasna is two wins away from earning her
ARBA championship as well. She did very well at
our last ARBA show March 30 - April 1, 2007. She
took Winners bitch, and best of breed for all four shows.
We have another UKC show coming in July so I hope
to get her back into the ring with Toby and see how
things work out!

Jasna
came into season again but we did not get a pregnancy
for this one. Will try with Orlando of Kiraleea
JS in Wisconsin. We have found that Jasna is extremely
small and an AI may be needed for the first pregnancy.
We will see how it goes this summer though.
We
attended the UKC show in Hutto, TX July 21-22, 2007 and
Jasna did great. She took Champion of Champions
for all four shows, though Toby beat her out for Best
of Breed each show. She is out of coat which didn't
help, but she and Kelsi did great in Jr Showmanship!
We all had fun that weekend and had some fun with
friends we've been meeting up with each show in Texas.
