2009 Update
Message I received
from Terri 6/19/2009: What a wonderful dog and a blessing she is. She has enriched our lives more
than you will ever know. She is always at my side, especially during naps and
at bedtime! I don't know what I would do without her. She is constantly
smiling and wagging her tail. I will never be able to thank you enough for
bringing her into my life. Thank you so much!
Her latest trick is "sharing!" She grabs her favorite bone (or whatever bone
she can find at the time) and brings it to me. I ask her if she wants to share
it with me. She sits, lets me take it out of her mouth and pretend to chew it.
I then give it back to her and she just struts around like she is the cat's
pajamas! She spends lots of time outside and still loves the water hose.
As
you have read Mia is doing great! I'm so
pleased I was so fortunate to find the perfect forever
home for Mia! She is so loved and doing excellent
there! Lots of activities just for her too : )
And oh how she loves the water!!! Thanks
for the updates Terri!
2008
UPDATES...
Mia
is doing wonderfully in Missouri with Terri! Mia
has had some wonderful adventures from swimming in the
pool to take a river ride! Terri has done wonders
with Mia and she's doing great! I'm so happy it's
worked out so well for everyone! Check her out
on their most recent adventures...

 Mia
had a blast on this trip! She even took the humans
along with her pal Leo : ) Summer
2008 Pool
time... she's not so sure of the pool part but the laying
out part, she loves that, doesn't she just so adorable
and comfi!
Mia is a beautiful little girl who
has great potential! Mia came from Beyond Kennels
in New Zealand. She is so playful and loved
to play with her brother who went to Hawaii on the same
flight as she did from New Zealand. Mia, who technically
my girls call Princess Mia, is a puppy through and through
but she is a good puppy. Adventurous, happy and
mellow for the most part. She loves to follow
me where ever I go and lay at my feet. She enjoys
playing fetch and is really good at it too - she steals
what ever the toy is from Warry every time too! She's
good at tug-o-war and usually wins between the other
dogs, but always lets go of the toy so I can toss it
again for her to chase.

Mia's
first show was at the International Dog show in Hutto,
Texas July 1-2, 2006 and she did very well. She
took home Best in Breed for all 3 shows she was entered
in, 2 Group 3's and had great critques from 3 different
judges. Mia earned her National Title at this
show and is starting off her showing career with great
promise. I had hoped I could have taken her to
Chicago as well, but I was limited to two dogs per the
airline regulations. She is really beginning
to come into her coat so I look forward to being able
to show her at upcoming shows. For now I am working
on her tear stainning as it has gotten pretty bad, until
I can reduce it I fear I cannot show her. She
is maturing well and has begun to fill out in her upper
body so I am most pleased.

I
have placed Mia with a wonderful family in Missouri
whom are giving her the extra love and attention she
so desperately needed and deserved. Mia is not
a "pack" dog and wanted more one on one time.
She wanted us humans all to herself and didn't
want to share us, so in her second home as she's still
going to come back and forth to see us too, she's doing
great. Mia has gone to stay with Terri and her
husband Lindsey in Missouri and she is doing great
up there too! Her allergies have lessened as the Texas heat and humidity and rash of allergens
weren't helping her at all. Missouri's climate
seem to much more suitable for Mia. She
has a companion, Zoe, a pom that she pals around
with there at home and then she has her new boyfriend,
Leo. Leo is in the same town, less than 5 minutes
away and they get to have walks and play time at least
3 times a week if not more often. Leo is from
Katrina's lines of Kiraleea Japanese Spitz and is gorgeous.
We miss her dearly but know
she's very loved. My girls can't wait to
see her again either! We've had a turn of events
as we tried to mate Mia and Leo and came to discover
a blockage within Mia's reproductive tract that is not
her hymen and will require her to be spayed. I'm
heartbroken to say the least as I was so looking forward
to seeing my Mia girl again. Instead she will
remain in Missouri with Terri and Lindsey and continue
to thrive as she's been doing for the past several months.
We all miss her so very much but knowing she's
in a home that loves her so very much makes it a little
easier. We will continue to keep in touch and
update Mia's page with her newest photos : ) We
miss you Mia girl!!!
