AUST CH Missetsu Phantom Warrior, Import Australia

Warry was imported in November 2004 from Western Australia. He had just gained his Australian Champion title when he cam to join our family as our stud. And a stud he is!  He has fathered two litters to date and he sure does throw boy : )  The first litter he fathered 4 boys and 1 girls and his second litter he fathered 5 boys and 1 girl.  Warry truly enjoys relaxing and taking it easy on "his" chair.  He adjusted to our family very quickly and has been a true asset for us!    He is one smart cookie!   He loves to  play fetch but tends to let Mia take it away if she is playing too.

In December 2005 we moved from Hawaii to Texas and we drove cross country from LAX to Texas and Warry was a champ, he traveled well and settled into our new home very quickly.  He LOVES the backyard we have as he has found himself his own private space in the back corner.  We had our first dog show here in Texas in Hutto which is just about an hour north of us but it's an indoor facility and it's wonderful!!!  The Lone Star Classic was May 6-7 and Warry taught me well, he did great.  Warry took Winners Dog and Best in Breed for 3 shows and he took Best in Show Reserve!!!  I'm so very proud of him!  Jordan even showed him for Junior Showmanship and took 1st place.    She was thrilled.

At the International Dog Show July 1-2 he took Group 3, and 4 Best in Breeds.  It was awesome as this was against AKC recognized breeds in addition to the rare breeds, it was so much fun!  The weekend of October 6-8th I was able to travel to the Windy City Classic in Chicago, Illinois.  It was so amazing as we had four breeders there and 8 dogs at the show!  What an adventure it was!  Warry did well there as well, taking Reserve Best in Breed for 3 of the shows.  I'm very proud of him and all he's done!  Our first UKC show was January 20-21 in Hutto, TX Warry did great.  He's working towards his UKC champion title, he took Best of Breed over Jasna for one show, and took a Group 3.  I was unable to show him at the February UKC show due to a groin pull, he had a little too much fun trying to get Mia...

Had an unfortuneatly situation arise on March 30th.  I took the dogs to the groomer to help me prepare for the ARBA show as my back couldn't take the grooming.  They didn't blow out his coat and it matted beyond saving.  I was so upset and devasted.  Warry had to be shaved, his fur was like a finely woven carpet it was so matted.  My beautiful boy has lost his coat.  He is out of the show ring for the next 6 months as we await to see how his new coat grows in.  I am so disappointed as his chest has dropped and his coat was gorgeous.  My biggest fear now is that the new coat will not be as lush and long as his original coat.  Never again will I trust my dogs to a groomer, that is except Katrina ; )  Warry is doing well, though he has had to adjust to the lack of coat, must keep him on benedryl to help him from itching so much, poor pup.  So for anyone out there who has a mature male, remember to always blow out, not just brush, blow out their coat before bathing them!!!

My poor Warry boy following his new shave.... his hair is finally coming back in, he's starting too look like he has puppy fuz now : )  Thankfully it's summer time in HOT Texas so he's actually enjoying it outside even more, doesn't want to come in when the others do!

He's finally starting to look normal again!!!  It's been nearly a year now and he's beginning to get his coat back.  No more sunscreen when we go outside and he can stay out longer than the 10-15 minutes at a time that we had to limit him to when he was first shaved.  He oh so loves the outdoors.  Check him out playing in the backyard!

Just a few months had passed here...

A year has passed here...

Warry loves to be outside.  His favorite corner is there by the shed, he's dug a nice hole for himself so her is nice and cool when it's warm outside.  His second favorite place in under the chairs on our back deck, especially when it's cool outside but nice and sunny!  He's become a truly wonderful adult dog.  He's matured out nicely and we love him dearly!
